Zendesk users can add AI deflection and triage with Answer Bot or a third-party AI support agent.

Answer Bot uses your Zendesk Guide content to suggest articles and deflect. Enable in Zendesk, train on your help center, and set escalation rules.
Third-party agents
Some AI support tools integrate with Zendesk via API: they read tickets and KB, respond or suggest replies, and create or update tickets. Setup is typically OAuth + mapping.
What to sync
- Knowledge base: So the agent answers from your docs.
- Tickets: So escalations create tickets with full context.
- User context: So the agent can personalize (e.g. plan, history).
Best practices
Start with deflection only for low-risk topics. Expand as you trust the agent. Always allow “talk to human” and route to the right group.
