Six pricing models dominate: (1) per-seat ($30–$200/user/month — predictable, common for productivity agents), (2) per-resolution (~$0.50–$5 per completed task — common for support agents), (3) per-conversation (volume-priced support deflection), (4) per-minute (voice agents — $0.05–$0.15/min), (5) per-token / usage-based (developer-facing agents, model-aligned), (6) tiered (flat tiers based on volume), and (7) custom (enterprise contracts, typical above 100 seats). Use the filter to compare like-for-like.
Vendors deliberately use different units. Per-seat penalizes growing teams; per-resolution penalizes high-volume teams; usage-based is variable and hard to budget. The cheapest option per unit is rarely cheapest in TCO. Use the pricing database to filter by the model that matches your volume profile, then compare starting prices and free tiers.
As of 2026: GitHub Copilot Free (limited completions), Cursor Free (limited fast requests), Windsurf Free, Cody Free, Apollo (free outbound tier with limits), Canva Magic Studio Free, Help Scout (no free), and Freshdesk (free for up to 10 agents). Depends on your volume per seat. If a typical seat resolves >150 tasks/month and per-resolution is $0.99, per-resolution costs $150+/month — usually exceeding per-seat. If a typical seat resolves <50 tasks/month, per-resolution is cheaper. Sweet spot for per-resolution: high-volume customer support and back-office automation. Sweet spot for per-seat: knowledge work where each user resolves many small actions.
Watch for: minimum annual commitments, overage rates above included volume, seat-count true-ups at renewal, model-tier upgrades that change unit costs, support tier costs (silver vs gold), and data egress / export fees. Most surprise costs come from overage rates and renewal price hikes that aren't in the initial quote.
